She told us we could very much find our home within that range, and we just had to keep at it and be patient. So we hired her to be both our listing agent for our home and our buyer agent for our new house. We ended up, soon after, putting in a couple of bids that we lost. Then, the very first home we toured, where we met Lisa, became available again. The listing agent reached out to Lisa and asked if we were still interested in the property and being a backup buyer in case it fell through. Lisa was able to use her connection to help us get in that position and become the backup without the house going back on the market, and was able to get the sellers to choose us! Then, during the process, we asked Lisa to renegotiate a pretty significant reduction in the purchase price (after our offer had already been accepted) when we discovered a few things that needed to get done during our inspections. We weren’t sure they would agree to it, and we might have to pull out—but she was able to get them to agree! That made a huge difference in our cash savings. On the sale side, she was very professional from start to finish in getting our home on the market quickly and helping me navigate the sale of my first home (and sometimes dealing with my craziness). Moreover, she remained very attentive, responsive, and engaged in the process. It was a very long a difficult process for a host of reasons and took 2-3 months and almost fell through multiple times since we were not only buying a home, but also selling a home. For example, we had to deal with our first buyer pulling out because the purchase process was taking too long due to the loan approval process and getting a new buyer. It was very stressful, as these things can be. But Lisa worked very hard to get us to the finish line, and we always knew she was ultimately in our corner. And ultimately, there was a happy ending. We were able to finalize our purchase and our sale, and move into our dream home! She really was a big part of us realizing this dream of owning a house on the river on Garden Hwy, and we really have been pinching ourselves for the past 7 months.
